Steven
Zelicoff, M. Ed.
- Owner
Steve
founded the
Center for Health Promotion
with the unique vision
of supervised, private exercise and lifestyle counseling for
health, fitness, rehabilitation and disease management. The
enhancement of health through prevention is a dynamic
component of Steve’s work. Prior to founding the Center, he
served as the Director of Fitness and Wellness Programs at
Princeton University, and Director of Educational Programming
for Cardiac Fitness, Inc. |

Linda Gorby
Drawing on 20 years of strength training, Linda helps clients achieve
discernible results quickly. A certified personal trainer, Linda designs
challenging and diversified programs for each of her clients to help
them attain, and even surpass, their goals. She especially loves
teaching Pilates, as everyone benefits from a stronger, leaner core. She
incorporates yoga, core training and body sculpting into her workouts,
and educates clients about nutrition and its vital relationship to
health and weight loss. A graduate of the University of Michigan and
Boston University School of Law, Linda gave up a career as a litigator
in New York City to pursue her passion for fitness. She has never looked
back. |

Edward DiPofi
Edward is an ISSA-certified personal trainer. He enjoys tailoring a
program specific to each client based on their individual needs, goals,
preferences - as well as their abilities and physical limitations. He
works with clients of all ages and is rewarded by their positive
reactions to reaching their fitness goals. Edward wants to keep things
interesting and specializes in several different types of training. As
the Coordinator of the Shaler Area Fitness Center, he trains Shaler
residents, students and athletes, and recently began a student obesity
program that has received accolades from both the students and their
parents. Edward is also an official coach and trainer for the US Amateur
Boxing Association and conducts boxing classes for both sexes for all
age groups (he boxed in the US Air Force and went undefeated). Edward
holds Red Cross CPR and AED certifications and is a trainer for these
programs. |

Nicole Isaacs
Nicole has been working in the health and fitness industry for the past
five years. She got her start as a personal trainer for Bally Total
Fitness before joining the Center for Health Promotion in 2005,. Her
specializations include athletic training and conditioning, weight
management, nutrition counseling, pregnancy and postpartum fitness, PNF
stretching, and functional range of movement programs. An athlete
herself, Nicole ran Division I track and field at Syracuse University,
where she studied public relations, psychology and nutrition. She is
certified by the National Council of Certified Personal Trainers, and is
working toward additional certifications from the American Council on
Exercise and the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Ryan Saari
A certified personal trainer, Ryan balances his fitness career with
providing private lessons as a Professional Ski Instructor of America.
The core of his personal fitness is geared towards the mixed martial
arts which he studies at the Pittsburgh Fight Club. Many of his training
techniques are taken from this aerobic and core-based functional
training. At Otterbein College, Ryan was a varsity baseball player. He
chose to jettison a career in Accounting to pursue his passion in
helping people achieve their fitness goals. |

Suzan
Falvey, ACE
Suzan has
worked as an Exercise Specialist since 1989. She is a
graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and is certified by
the American Council of Exercise. She is also a member of the
American College of Sports Medicine. Suzan’s healthy
lifestyle, education, enthusiasm and high energy make her an
excellent motivator and role model for her clients.

JoAnn
Brickley
A 20-year veteran of the
fitness industry, JoAnn works with people with joint pain and range of
motion limitations, as well as those who want to get strong without injuring
themselves. She holds numerous certifications and accomplishments,
including: Golf Biomechanics, Scientific Core Conditioning, Scientific Back
Training, Myofacial Trigger-Point Therapy and Muscle Activation Technique.
JoAnn also trains and certifies other fitness trainers for the National
Council for Certified Personal Trainers, (NCCPT). |

Sally
Carey
Sally Carey
is an Exercise Specialist with a background in Physical
Therapy and Cardiac Rehabilitation. She has worked in the
corporate, health care and fitness center environments, and
provides nutritional counseling as well as exercise
training. Sally is expert in working with an array of fitness
levels, from Olympic athletes to senior adults. She has
developed numerous exercise programs, including pre- and
post-natal exercise for the American College of Obstetricians
and Gynecologists, holds a degree in Exercise and Sports
Science from Penn State and is certified by the American
College in Sports Medicine.
